Students who want to play rock and pop music have an endless amount of songs, styles and concepts to choose from – which can, of course, be overwhelming.
Additionally, the market is full of many different teaching methods and teaching media. The mass of material can cause a budding musician to get confused and lost in the ocean of music information.
In order to systematically and sensibly teach how to play an instrument, SoundMonk has its own lesson plans under the SoundMonk Curriculum.
Through more than a decade of teaching experience, we have structured the topics and concepts for all the courses with a very firm goal in mind viz. to enhance music knowledge one step at a time.
The curriculum covers Classic Rock, Blues, Metal, Latin Music, Classical and many other modern styles you could possibly think of. It also includes exercises on how to read music notations, music theory and techniques.
While at SoundMonk, we use our curriculum to ensure that you continually learn to play songs and other instrumentals possible on your favorite instrument. This will keep you motivated because making progress in music should always be fun and what better way to achieve this than learning songs of your favorite bands. It ensures that you walk on the shortest path towards playing your own music.
The SoundMonk Curriculum also includes the syllabus training for International Music Examinations conducted by Trinity College London & Rockschool UK. Training is offered for the following exams from from Initial level to GDiploma level.
